Teramo, 3 Mar. (Adnkronos Health) — Five surgeons from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates today «in class» in the operating room at the hospital of Sant’Omero. Foreign doctors arrived at the «Val Vibrata» to attend the SphinKeeper surgery carried out for fecal incontinence and the improvement of the surgical technique. This technique allows to effectively treat different forms of fecal incontinence with reduced discomfort for the patient and short hospital stays.
They are guests of Professor Renato Pietroletti, head of the Uosd of Proctological Surgery at university address and Dr. Mario Cicconi, director of the General Surgery Unit of the Sant’Omero hospital, regional reference center for colon-proctological diseases. I four surgeons from Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and a surgeon from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) undergo a training divided into two parts: one theoretical dedicated to the deepening of the pathophysiological aspects and advantages of the procedure and a second in the operating room with three live surgery.
