Rome 20& mar. (Adnkronos Health) () — The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health and the Abruzzo Region was signed today in Rome to follow up on the program agreement recently approved at the State-Regions Conference. «With the signing of the protocol, more than 300 million euros of health construction are released for Abruzzo», he says the President of the Region, Marco Marsilio at the end of the meeting with Minister Orazio Schillaci, which was also attended by the Councilor for Health and Equal Opportunities, Nicoletta Verì.
«On the sidelines of the signature- adds Marsilio- there was also a constructive and fruitful meeting with the technicians of the ministry to define the last steps on the hospital network, for which we trust that approval will arrive in the coming days».
In detail, the protocol concerns the redevelopment of the regional health offer through the construction of new structures; the adaptation of health facilities to fire prevention and anti-seismic regulations; technological modernization aimed at further qualifying company performance and improving assistance in terms of safety and efficiency of diagnostic and therapeutic processes; and the modernisation of IT systems and equipment aimed at improving the levels of security and use of computerised systems, limiting clinical risk, supporting the management of care pathways between hospitals and local facilities, as well as simplifying citizens’ access to services.
